Points are the currency of the game. You earn points and then use them to unlock or buy characters and items.
Earning Points
To earn points, you need to play through the level. Even if you don't finish, you can still get the points you earned. These are the different ways to earn points.
Level 100% Completed
When you complete the level, you will receive all of the points you gained during the level, but be careful, because they subtract the score that you got last time from the total of points that you just got.
Also, they will give you extra points at the end of each level, so try to complete each level. Well, you have to complete them anyways, but try your best!
It's best to NOT just keep Big Blue in the air, but also take out any enemies around the level as this also gives you more points, depending on how many fighters you've sent onto the battlefield or how many you've beaten.
Combo
Whenever you make more than one combo, they award you with points, like so.
Each time that you do more combos, the points are multiplied, depending on how many fighters you've sent to fight the Blue Baddies and also how many you've defeated.
Also, once you reach a milestone of 10 Combos, pictures of the Slush Fighters will appear, thus increasing the multiplier and your points will grow rapidly. After this, if you manage to keep this up and reach about 5 milestones, different Slush Fighters will appear and award you with even more points.
Incomplete level
They take the score that you got, and subtract it from your prev best, but don't worry, they still award you points.
The worst case scenario here is that you might not get any points at all. Luckily, this only happens when you accidentally lose Big Blue at the start or you pressed "reset" by mistake at the very beginning of a level.
Bonus
You can receive other points by bonus points. They are given to you after reaching a certain goal, like Stick James' Button Punch+ which can reward you with points depending on how many fighters you've recharged, or the "Stickhanh Clutch" which only occurs if Stickhanh manages to get Big Blue flying again once he suddenly stops.
There are other Bonuses coming from different fighters. Here are some that can do this:
A number of direct, penetrated shots in one activation from Steric's quickscope ability, Short range melee attack from Stagar's board, Stick James' ultra attack which can summon the whole group (minus some) to which awards you with the "Lots of Slush" reward, Stickwart's continuous direct shots that surpass 3, Stick Jorge's Level Up! ability which can award you with points if you reach his max level and Stucker's Blade Flurry ability if you hit multiple enemies with one activation.
